The 2017/2018 English Premier League season marks the football league’s 25th season.

1.9898 EPL matches have been played thus far.
2.25769 goals have been scored by 47 different teams since the league’s inception.
3.Manchester United has won 13 EPL titles – more than all other teams combined.
4.The highest scoring club with 1856 goals (or 7.2% of all goals scored) is Manchester United.
5.The only player to score, get an assist, get booked and score an own goal in a single EPL match, against Liverpool on 28 November 2012, is Gareth Bale.
6.Alan Shearer netted the most penalties in the EPL (56), but also missed more spot kicks than anyone else (11).
7.Ryan Giggs holds the record for most appearances in the EPL (632), but Gareth Barry could break the record this season (he currently has 628 appearances).
8.The person who holds the record for most assists (131), and who has been substituted more times than anyone else (134), is Ryan Giggs.
9.Everton holds the title for losing the most Premier League matches with 336 defeats.
10.The record for most conceded goals in the Premier League is held by Tottenham, at 1231.

13.Peter Crouch has scored with 50 headers.
14.The only teams yet to have a player score a hat-trick are Swansea and Watford.

16.The oldest player to have played in a Premier League game is goalkeeper, John Burridge. He was 43 years old when he played for Manchester City against Newcastle.
17.The youngest player to have played a Premier League game is fullback, Matthew Briggs. He was 16 years old when he played for Fulham against Middlesbrough.
