Election Results Made Dwayne Johnson Emotional
The results of the US elections made many an American emotional, if not a little weepy – even Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson shed a few “manly” tears.
The 48-year-old “Skyscraper” actor recently made the confession in a post to Instagram on Sunday, 8 November, the day after the results were declared.
In the nearly eight-minute video, he said he “got a little emotional”, before speaking about the importance of “decency”, and how his vote reflected the values that he and his wife instil in their infant daughters, Jasmine and Tiana.
Johnson elaborated: “My vote represented the importance of just being a decent human being. And to me, being a decent human being matters.”
The former WWF wrestler previously showed support for presidential candidate, Joe Biden, in September – his first endorsement ever.
However, he stated that “the real work” starts now.
The video’s caption ends with: “Stand tall, lay it all on the line and cheers to UNITY [sic] and finding common ground.”
