EgyptAir Crash: Black Box Found
The Egyptian committee responsible for the search and recovery of the crashed EgyptAir plane’s black box, has announced that they have finally managed to locate and retrieve the black box.
EgyptAir flight 804 went down on May 19th after it was travelling to Cairo from Paris. It is not yet know what caused the plane to crash into the Mediterranean, although there has been rumours that a bomb was responsible for the downing of the flight.
The committee said that the black box was damaged when they retrieved it, but that they will be able to salvage the memory unit.
The memory unit of the box is the most important and will give investigators an indication as to what caused the plane to crash.
They also said that among the black box they also found numerous other pieces of debris and personal belongings.
66 people were on board the plane.
