Disney Stars Clash Over “Toxic” Celebrity Mom Group
Former Disney star Ashley Tisdale has sparked a Hollywood civil war after branding her social circle as “toxic”.
Writing for an international publication on Thursday, 1 January, the 40-year-old actress revealed she left the clique after feeling “frozen out”, noting the group had a “pattern of leaving someone out.”
The “High School Musical” star admitted the experience brought her to tears, stating: “This is too high school for me and I don’t want to take part in it anymore.”
Although Tisdale refrained from sharing names, social media sleuths identified Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore as members. The situation escalated when Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, mocked Tisdale via Instagram on Tuesday, 6 January, parodying her essay with a headline calling her the “most self-obsessed tone-deaf person on earth.”
Insiders have since rallied against Tisdale, with one source telling another international outlet: “Matthew gave her what she had coming.”
While Chelsea Handler defended Moore as a “wonderful, sweet person,” Tisdale has officially unfollowed her former friends.
In a surprising twist, Hilary’s sister, Haylie Duff, reportedly liked Tisdale’s essay, suggesting the rift extends beyond just the core group.
