‘Die Windpomp’ is set to screen in the US

South African film Die Windpomp is set to screen in the US as the film was selected for the Sonama International Film Festival – which will take place in California, FilmContact reported.

According to FilmContact, the Afrikaans film will screen at the festival which runs from March 25, 2015 to March 29, 2015.

Die Windpomp follows Hendri (Armand Greyling) who goes to live with Grandpa at a retirement village where he meets Margot (Leandie du Randt) and the two engage in a summer romance.

Die Windpomp recently won five awards at the KyknetSilwerSkermFees. The film was honoured Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Original Music and Best Supporting Actress for Marga van Rooy.
