Diddy’s Prison Stay Extended Amid Claims of Rule Breaches
Sean “Diddy” Combs will spend nearly a month longer behind bars after US prison authorities revised his release date to 4 June 2028, delaying it from early May.
The adjustment comes as the music mogul faces a string of allegations about his conduct at Federal Correctional Institute Fort Dix outside of Philadelphia in New Jersey.
Reports in recent weeks claimed Combs was caught with a homemade alcoholic brew fashioned from everyday commissary items, shortly after arriving at the low-security facility. His spokesperson dismissed the story as “false and reckless,” insisting he “has not violated any prison rules” and is committed to sobriety.
The 56-year-old former rapper was also said to have taken part in an unauthorised three-way phone call, though his team maintains the conversation was initiated by a lawyer and therefore protected.
“The phone call he was on was initiated by an attorney and it was attorney-client privilege and appropriate,” representative Juda Engelmayer said.
Combs has been in custody since September 2024. He was convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transporting individuals to engage in prostitution and handed a 50-month sentence in October.
His legal team plans to appeal, arguing the judge “acted as a 13th juror.”
