Craig Shakespeare To Manage Foxes Until End of Season

March 08, 2017

Leicester City’s interim manager, Craig Shakespeare, has been asked to stay on as the coach of the Foxes until the end of the current season.

Shakespeare took over from former manager, Claudio Ranieri, less than a month ago, after Ranieri was shockingly sacked.

However, it seems that Shakespeare’s influence on Leicester City has reaped some benefits as the Foxes have won two matches under his management, beating both Liverpool and Hull City.

Shakespeare has been a part of the Foxes for a long time. Before being the assistant manager under Claudio Ranieri, he was also the assistant coach for Nigel Pearson.

While Shakespeare is currently only the ‘caretaker’ manager, it looks like the 53-year-old might stand a good chance of being asked to take over as head coach once the season ends.

However, reports have also suggested that Leicester City management has been in talks with former English head coach, Roy Hodgson.

Shakespeare has expressed his eagerness to take over the reins as head coach of Leicester City on a permanent basis, should he be offered the position.

Leicester’s next big match is against West Ham on March 18th and will no doubt be another important game for Shakespeare.
