Ciara Denied Sole Custody of Son

May 18, 2016

Hip hop singer, Ciara, has been denied sole custody of her 2-year old son, as a judge ruled in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Ciara has been fighting for full, sole custody of her son, which she had with rapper Future. The boy is named Future Jr.

Future, on the other hand, opposed Ciara’s bid for sole custody and instead the judge ruled in his favour, granting both Ciara and Future joint custody of their son.

In legal documents obtained by gossip site TMZ, Ciara claimed that Future was a bad parent and that he wasn’t present in their son’s life.

Future already has four different children with four different women.

Ciara and Future’s relationship has been less than kind after the two split up. Future recently launched a vicious slander attack on Ciara on Twitter, which in turn caused her to sue the 32-year old rapper for $15 million.

She also claims that Future is jealous of her and the fact that she has moved on from him with her new fiance, Russell Wilson.

A source close to Ciara claims that she does not want to have a public spat with Future, but just wants what’s best for her child:

“…She just wants what’s best for her and her baby. She is a really great mom. Baby Future is attached to her and a super smart kid. She’s really patient and loving with him,” the source said.

The source also said that Future is just using Ciara’s name to get more publicity for himself:

“…Ciara has said that Future uses the situation to promote his music by staying in the press using her name…He is jealous she has moved on and is happy. He is unable to move on and co-parent in a healthy way. Future has told her he hopes she fails in everything she does and that’s just being evil,”

Whatever happens, we just hope it doesn’t affect an innocent child.
