Chrissy Teigen Suffers Miscarriage
Chrissy Teigen has suffered a miscarriage after she was hospitalised for excessive bleeding.
On 13 August, the model – who has four-year-old daughter, Luna, and two-year-old son, Miles, with her husband, John Legend – revealed that she was pregnant with her third child when she debuted her baby bump in Legend’s music video, “Wild”.
Taking to Twitter late on Wednesday, 30 September, Teigen posted a black-and-white photo of herself sitting in a hospital bed and crying.
Alongside the photo, the 34-year-old shared the tragic news in a statement: “We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”
Teigen also paid tribute to her baby, whom she and Legend called “Jack”.
She wrote: “To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.”
