Chiragwi Hails His Team’s Performance Despite Draw
Shabanie Mine manager, Takesure Chiragwi, has praised his team’s performance on Sunday, despite them drawing with Premier League giants, Dynamos.
Shabanie Mine took on the former Premier League champions at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.
Chiragwi’s team came back fighting after Dynamos’ Christian Ntouba Epoupa scored the first goal of the game in the 16th minute. Shabanie Mine’s Collin Dhuwa scored an equaliser just before half-time, in the 44th minute, bringing the final score of the match to 1-1.
The draw earned them a point and allowed them to move up to 10th place on the Premier League log.
Shabanie Mine was only promoted to the Premier League this year after playing in the first division last season.
Speaking at a press conference after the game, Chiragwi said that he was very pleased with how his young team performed against a team like the Dynamos.
“I’m very happy, especially with the distance that we have covered…from Zvishavane to Harare and playing against a big team like Dynamos and getting a result with this fantastic performance from the young boys. I think I’m very happy and I give credit to the young boys for [a] job well done [sic],” he told reporters.
Chiragwi was also very impressed with the performance of the young midfielder, Dhuwa.
“I’m very happy for the young man and I think the most important thing is for him to keep on working very hard, he’s been doing that all the games we were playing he’s been working very hard [sic]. What he needs to do is remain humble and focused. He’ll go places I know,” he said.
