Chicken Inn Ready For Sundowns
It seems that Zimbabwean premier league side, Chicken Inn, is more than ready to host powerful South African premier league side, the Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
According to Chicken Inn’s coach, Joey Antipas, Chicken Inn have been preparing full steam for their clash against Sundowns. He said that his team is basically ready to fully take on the South African side.
Chicken Inn will host the Sundowns at the Luveve Stadium on Saturday as part of the first leg of the Caf Confederations Cup preliminary round.
Antipas continued, saying that his team has been working extensively on their defensive shortcomings in order to prepare for the Sundowns:
“…We are almost there and by the end of the week we would be 100 percent ready to play Sundowns. We have been worried by our defence but we have been working on that,” he told reporters.
Antipas also said that looking at their performance in Zambia, where they conceded quite a few goals, it’s important to work on the way they defend:
“…The rate with which we were conceding goals in Zambia is very worrying. But we have been working very hard to correct that. I know we will not have it easy against Sundowns…They are an experienced team in African football and we have to be very strong when we face them. It is a very big game for us and we are looking for a positive result so that when we visit them it will be easy for us there,” he said.
