Chicken Inn Not Sure About Champions League

November 30, 2015

Chicken Inn may have won the Castle Lager Premier League on Saturday, but that does not mean that they are ready to take on the CAF Champions League.

The entries for the Champions League close on 30 November and Chicken Inn is yet to register for the league.

With financial issues abound, it has been reported that FC Platinum might take Chicken Inn’s place in the Champions League.

Sources close to Chicken Inn claimed that the club would first want to invest in a club house, team bus and having a strong junior policy before they enter themselves into the Champions League, as that would require more funds.

“…[sic] That route (Champions League) is expensive for a club that does not yet have its own investments…[as for] FC Platinum have already invested and have the capacity to fund their travels across Africa,” a source told reporters.

However, Tawengwa Hara, Chicken Inn’s secretary, said that they were waiting for the go ahead from their sponsors.
