Chelsea: Eden Hazard Ruled Out for 3 Months
Chelsea star, Eden Hazard, will be out of the game for three months, after suffering a bad ankle injury.
The English Premier League club announced that the 26-year-old underwent surgery on his ankle on Monday and that, while the surgery was a success, he will require time off.
Hazard fractured his ankle while training with the Belgian international team ahead of their 2018 World Cup qualifying match against Estonia on Friday.
Hazard – who has been instrumental to Chelsea’s recent success – will miss the start of the 2017/2018 Premier League which kicks off on 12 August.
The Belgian seems to be in good spirits, however, according to his Twitter account, which he has used as a way of updating his fans.
“Everything went well with my ankle operation, now I start the road to recovery! I will be stronger. Thank you for your support!!” he captioned a photo on Twitter.
