Burglar Arrested for Breaking into Eminem’s Property
A real life ‘Stan’ was arrested earlier this month for breaking into Eminem’s home, but it appears that this wasn’t the first time.
The 47-year-old rapper – real name Marshall Mathers III – confronted an invader at his Michigan, Detroit home during the early morning hours of 5 April. A paving stone was used to smash a kitchen window for access.
Local police confirmed that the intruder – identified as Matthew David Hughes – would be charged with first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of a building.
According to sources, Eminem was asleep at the time when the alarms went off and he found Hughes in his living room. The hip hop superstar’s guard, who was at the front of the property, arrived shortly to provide assistance.
It has emerged that Hughes was previously arrested in June last year for trying to break into a Rochester Hills property that the “Darkness” hitmaker previously owned.
The obsessed fan spent 90 days in jail, and received $1400 in fines, on top of charges of malicious destruction of property.
