Brangelina: Prenup Details Revealed
Two years ago, before trading vows, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie came to a mutual prenuptial agreement detailing exactly who gets what out of their combined fortune.
Sources say that the couple have close to $400 million in combined assets. Of the 12 properties owned by the couple, only three were purchased together: their vineyard in France, Chateau Miraval; a home in New Orleans, Louisiana; and an apartment in New York City. The nine remaining properties have been clearly split with Jolie taking two, and Pitt taking seven.
The prenup is ironclad as far as cash is concerned, but when it comes to custody, nothing is certain. Well, except that this is where the war will really play out.
Angelina is set on gaining full physical custody of their six children – Maddox, 15; Pax, 12; Zahara, 11; Shiloh, 10; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8. Brad on the other hand will be fighting for joint physical custody.
During their time together Brangelina have welcomed three children of their own and have adopted three more.
Cambodian born, Maddox, was adopted by Jolie before the commencement of her romance with Pitt. After a few years of being together, Pitt adopted Maddox as his own. Brad and Angelina played equal roles in the adoption of both Pax, from Vietnam, and Zahara, from Ethiopia.
Sources revealed that Pitt is devastated by Jolie’s decision to file for sole custody and that the children mean everything to him.
Sources say that Brad is preparing for the legal battle. In the meanwhile, the children are staying in Los Angeles with Jolie.
