Bournemouth Puts to Rest Star Player Transfer Rumours
Bournemouth have shut down any possibility of selling Eli Junior Kroupi this summer, informing interested suitors that the 20-year-old French forward is staying put.
Kroupi’s stock has soared to an estimated £85-£100 million following an impressive debut English Premier League (EPL) campaign. Having joined the Cherries from Lorient for £10 million in 2025, the France U21 international scored 13 league goals to help Bournemouth secure a historic qualification for European tournaments. His standout performances drew strong interest from EPL champions Arsenal, as well as Tottenham and Manchester City.
Addressing the transfer talk, former Arsenal and France defender Mikael Silvestre warned that moving to north London comes with intense scrutiny, calling Arsenal a “different fish” due to the pressure and squad competition under Mikel Arteta.
However, any potential move is now on hold. Preparing for their first-ever Europa League campaign under new manager Marco Rose, Bournemouth’s hierarchy told Kroupi and his representatives that no key players will be sold in this transfer window.
The Cherries are under no financial pressure to sell and expect Kroupi’s valuation to climb even further before considering offers in 2027, as he is under contract until 2030 with no active release clause.
