Bieber and Manson End Feud

September 21, 2017

It’s not too late to say sorry.

Justin Bieber has apologised to Marilyn Manson, ending their feud which began over a T-shirt design.

In 2016 an unauthorised image of the 48-year-old gothic rock singer was used on a T-shirt as part of Bieber’s Purpose World Tour merchandise. The back of the shirt reads: “Bigger Than Satan…Bieber.”

The T-shirt’s designer, Jerry Lorenzo, posted on Instagram that Manson gave them permission to “reinterpret” his image.

Manson denied this, and confronted the 23-year-old Canadian popstar about the T-shirt the next time the two met.

The feud has been ongoing since then, and was brought back under the spotlight after Manson recounted the meeting in a recent interview. According to Manson, Bieber told him he should be grateful that the popstar made the shock rocker “relevant again”.

In the interview, Manson also called Bieber arrogant, said that he’d made a “bad mistake”, and that he should “stand down”.

The two reportedly put their differences aside, however, when Bieber apologised over text message. Manson read out Bieber’s message during his appearance on The Howard Stern Show: “[I]f anything wasn’t squared away with the T-shirts, I’m so sorry…I just wanted to make sure you and I were good because I like you.”

Manson said that he texted back, “We are cool.” He also suggested that the pair do a duet together in the future.
