Benedict Cumberbatch Prepares to Welcome Second Child

The star of Marvel’s Doctor Strange, Benedict Cumberbatch is going to be a dad for a second time!

Cumberbatch and his wife, director Sophie Hunter, celebrated the arrival of their firstborn, Christopher Carlton Cumberbatch, just over a year ago. At the time, they released the following statement: “Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son. We would kindly ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during these next few precious weeks.”

Benedict and Sophie have enjoyed somewhat of a whirlwind romance. Shortly before their first pregnancy the couple announced that they were in fact engaged.

The wedding took place on Valentine’s Day 2015 on the Isle of Wight in front of friends and family.

Sources close to the couple have gushed over Benedict’s paternal disposition and have praised him as a wonderful and caring father and husband.
