Bellerin to Stay with Arsenal
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has effectively put an end to rumours that were suggesting that Arsenal defender, Hector Bellerin, was leaving the club.
Recently rumours started doing the rounds that the Spanish international – who played for Barcelona’s youth side – will be making a return to the La Liga club.
However, Wenger quickly shut those rumours down at a recent press conference when he told reporters explicitly that Bellerin’s future is with Arsenal:
“…He has nearly three years to go, we always try to get the players to the financial level where we think they deserve to be…We will try to extend his contract, his long-term future is here…He has been absolutely fantastic. His first game was a nightmare. The season before he was at Watford where he didn’t play…[sic] His progress has been brilliant because he has absolutely top mental strength,” Wenger said of the 21-year old.
He continued saying that the team he is at currently meets his needs and his values.
“…He is at a team that meets his needs and values. He came at a very young age. He is an Arsenal player,” he said.
