Barbra Streisand Sends Heartwarming Gifts to George Floyd’s Daughter
Legendary actress and singer, Barbra Streisand, has given a unique gift to the daughter of slain African American man, George Floyd: market shares with the Walt Disney Company.
Floyd died as a result of police brutality last month – since then, riots and calls for social justice have erupted across the United States of America. He was laid to rest on 4 June in a memorial service that was highly publicised.
Recently, seventy-eight-year-old Streisand sent the touching present to six-year-old Gianna Floyd, which included two of her music albums: “Colour Me Barba” and “My Name Is Barbra”. However, the number of shares was not disclosed – each share is currently valued at $118.44.
Little Gianna took to Instagram on Monday, 15 June, to share the good news.
In a post that included photos of herself holding the certificates confirming the shares and the award-winning albums, she captioned: “Thank you @barbrastreisand [sic] for my package, I am now a Disney Stockholder thanks to you [sic].”
In a show of goodwill, rapper Kayne West also recently announced he would be paying all of the little girl’s future college tuition fees.
