Aston Villa Sign Ritchie De Laet
Former English Premier League club, Aston Villa, have confirmed that they have signed Ritchie De Laet from EPL champions, Leicester City.
The club made the announcement yesterday, and said that De Laet will join Villa on a three-year contract.
De Laet, who was previously with Manchester United up until 2012, has made a couple of transfers in the last few years.
After moving to Leicester City from Manchester United, the defender moved to Middlesbrough in January, where he helped the club finish second in the championship.
Aston Villa manager, Roberto Di Matteo, said that the club is very pleased to have the 27-year old Belgian on their team:
“…I’m pleased to have brought Ritchie to the club…He is … a player who not only has Championship experience but has also played a part in helping a team win promotion back to the Premier League,” he said.
