Arsenal Set Astronomical Asking Price for Guendouzi

February 18, 2019

Arsenal have reportedly set a £60 million asking price for midfielder Matteo Guendouzi following interest from top tier French club, Paris Saint-Germain.

The 19-year-old Frenchman – who joined the Gunners from FC Lorient in 2018 in the range of £6 million – has been a surprising revelation in his debut season for the North London team. His impressive performance has led him to becoming a regular in the club’s startling line-up.

Now, Guendouzi’s form has apparently caught the eye of PSG, who are considering a bid for the midfielder this summer.

In response, Arsenal have increased his asking price to a staggering £60 million – that’s ten times the figure they originally paid for him.

Despite the steep price increase, the Gunners may be reluctant to part with Guendouzi after his fellow midfielder, Aaron Ramsey, announced a move to Juventus last month.

With Ramsey gone, as well as attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil being out of favour, Arsenal’s midfield could become weaker should Guendouzi depart.
