Arsenal Issues Warning Ahead of Champions League Match

April 09, 2024

Arsenal are cracking down hard on so-called supporters who sell their match tickets to Bayern Munich fans.

Tonight, Tuesday 9 April, the Gunners are hosting the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie against Bayern at Emirates Stadium in London, England.

Ahead of the match, Arsenal issued this statement: “There is additional risk associated with this game, because Bayern Munich are not permitted an away allocation. Any season-ticket holder or Arsenal member’s seat found to be in possession of an away fan will be suspended indefinitely.”

Last month, fans of the German club got into trouble after they threw fireworks onto the pitch during their 3-1 win at Lazio. As a result, UEFA banned them from attending the away leg of their last-eight tie.

Bayern – who did not appeal UEFA’s decision, and asked their supporters to not travel to London – have been allocated approximately 200 tickets for friends and family. Additionally, 20 senior club officials are expected to appear in the directors’ box at Emirates Stadium.

Here’s hoping chaos will be avoided during this game, which promises to be an exciting one!
