Arsenal Down 7 Players

Arsenal could be missing seven first team players when they face Watford in their Premier League match this weekend.

In Arsenal’s latest injury woes, Shkodran Mustafi tore a ligament in Germany’s FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Azerbaijan on Sunday. The 25-year-old defender could be out until the end of the year.

Defender Laurent Koscielny has been out for weeks after injuring his Achilles’ tendon. He is reportedly racing to be fit for this weekend’s clash, but there is no word yet on whether he’ll be ready to play.

Defender Calum Chambers will be out until the end of the month with a knee injury, while midfielder Santi Cazorla will be out until 2018. Cazorla has been suffering from Achilles’ tendon problems since October 2016.

Forward Danny Welbeck, and midfielders, Francis Coquelin and Mesut Ozil, have been battling injuries but are back in training, hoping to be ready for the upcoming match.

Media reports have speculated, however, that coach Arsene Wenger should be cautious of rushing injured players back to the field, or he may face long-term injuries at a later stage.
