Anti-Trump Protests Continue Across the US
Since being announced as the President-elect of the US, Donald Trump and his administration has received immense backlash as the country comes to grips with the fact that he will their next Commander-In-Chief.
Protests have broken out across the country in various states.
The protests have taken place in states that were both majority Republican and majority Democrat.
People have taken to the streets chanting mantras like “Not my president” and other chants that strongly condemn trump as the next President-elect.
Various high school students across the country also staged walk-outs at their schools, where they walked out of school in protest of Trump.
Thousands of college students have also taken to the streets in opposition to Trump
According to post-election data, close to 90% people between the ages of 18 and 25 voted for Hillary Clinton.
A lot of the protesters were also concerned about the rights of the LGBTQ community and voiced their concerns at these protests.
Recording artist, Lady Gaga, also staged a silent protest outside of Trump Tower in New York City, simply holding up a poster that says “Love trumps hate”.
The protests are expected to carry on during the week.
