Angelina Jolie Speaks About Divorce from Brad Pitt for First Time

February 20, 2017

Actress and human rights activist, Angelina Jolie, has opened up about her divorce from Brad Pitt for the first time since the couple announced their split back in September of last year.

Jolie is currently in Cambodia to premiere her latest film, ‘First They Killed My Father’, which she directed and co-wrote.

During an interview with BBC World News in Cambodia, Jolie spoke about the difficult time her family has been through since the announcement of the divorce.

An emotional Angelina admitted that while this is an extremely difficult time for her and the couple’s six children, they will always remain a family no matter what.

“I don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time…We are a family and we will always be a family, and we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it,” she said.

She continued, saying that her main focus at the moment is her children.

“My focus is my children, our children, and my focus is finding this way through [sic]…We are and forever will be a family. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer,” she said.

Jolie’s six children are all with her in Cambodia at the moment.

Brad Pitt has not yet spoken publicly about the split.
