Amanda Bynes Back in Rehab

March 05, 2019

Amanda Bynes has reportedly checked herself into a rehabilitation facility after suffering a relapse.

Bynes found fame as a child actress in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Later, she landed roles in films such as “She’s the Man”, “What a Girls Wants” and “Hairspray”.

However, as fame took its toll, Bynes resorted to substance abuse in order to cope. Her drug-fuelled behaviour and subsequent meltdown led her parents to file for conservatorship of their daughter.

Now, the 32-year-old actress-turned-fashion designer – who had been sober for four years and was in the process of returning to acting – has been in rehab since January. She is believed to be seeking treatment for drug addiction and mental health issues.

A source close to Bynes said that she sought treatment after a series of “triggering events”, which left her feeling stressed by the pressure of making her comeback to Hollywood.

Bynes has yet to comment on the reports.
