Alec Baldwin Unharmed After Crashing Into Tree
Actor Alec Baldwin has reassured fans that he is “fine” after crashing into a tree in East Hampton, New York, on Monday, 13 October.
The 67-year-old star said he was driving with his brother, Stephen Baldwin, when a garbage truck allegedly cut him off, forcing him to swerve the Range Rover and collide with a large tree.
“I crushed my wife’s car; I feel bad about that,” Baldwin said in an Instagram video shortly after the accident. “It’s all fine; I’m fine. My brother’s fine.”
Photos from the scene showed the badly damaged front of the vehicle, with police officers attending.
The Baldwin brothers had been in the Hamptons for the Hamptons International Film Festival, where they were promoting Stephen’s “One Bad Movie” podcast. The younger Baldwin thanked the East Hampton Police Department, describing one officer as a “lovely guy”.
Stephen’s publicist confirmed he was “safe and well” and grateful no one was injured. Alec added that he was flying to Los Angeles to reunite with Hilaria, who had recently been eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars”.
