Alec Baldwin Ordered to Attend Anger Management Classes
Actor Alec Baldwin has been ordered to partake in anger management classes, after he pleaded guilty to striking a man in the face during a dispute over a parking space outside his home in New York City on 2 November 2018.
The 60-year-old actor was detained by the police after punching the driver of a Saab station wagon, who swooped in and took the space that Baldwin’s relative had been holding open for him to park his Cadillac Escalade.
The “30 Rock” star was initially charged with attempted misdemeanour assault and violation-level harassment over the incident.
Appearing in Manhattan Criminal Court on Wednesday, 23 January, Baldwin – who denied striking the driver at the time – pleaded guilty to the charge of second-degree violation of harassment.
As a result, he has been ordered to enroll in an anger management course and pay a $120 fine.
Baldwin is scheduled to appear in court again on Friday, 22 March. By then, he will need to have completed his anger management course.
