AC Milan Eyeing Troubled Arsenal Star
Italian soccer club, AC Milan, is reportedly interested in signing Arsenal midfielder and former skipper, Granit Xhaka.
Xhaka has not played for the Gunners since late October, when the club drew 2-2 against Crystal Palace – while being substituted during the match, the 27-year-old Swiss international appeared to swear heatedly and he made inappropriate gestures at jeering fans.
As a result of his actions, Xhaka has not only seen a lack of gameplay, but was also stripped of his captaincy by the club.
According to media reports, the Rossoneri are looking to sign Xhaka in the January transfer window, with the midfielder supposedly already house-hunting in the city of Milan ahead of a potential deal.
However, Arsenal’s club board – who are not keen on losing one of their key players – apparently want to sit down with Xhaka and his representatives in order to repair their fractured relationship.
AC Milan are said to be keeping a close eye on the situation, and will likely swoop in if Xhaka walks away from Arsenal.
