Aaron Carter’s Girlfriend Arrested
The girlfriend of Aaron Carter was reportedly arrested last Sunday night, 29 March, for domestic assault.
The “Fool’s Gold” singer has been dating Instagram model, Melanie Martin, for nearly four months after he broke up with his former girlfriend, Lina Valentina.
According to reports, the couple – who were at home in Lancaster, California – allegedly got into a verbal argument that quickly turned physical.
In the midst of their altercation, Martin allegedly scratched and choked Carter. The scratch marks were verified by police officials of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Charged with domestic assault, Martin was taken into custody and placed on a $50 000 bail.
Carter addressed the incident on Monday, 31 March, via a series of tweets, lamenting how Martin treated him.
One tweet reads: “You don’t have to wait for someone to treat you bad repeatedly. All it takes is once, and if they get away with it that once, if they know they can treat you like that, then it sets the pattern for the future.”
