Salah Peaked Early
A 19-year-old Salah managed to enter the Egyptian national team in 2011, making him the youngest player in the team at the time.
Salah Nearly Joined the Army
In 2014, Salah nearly served a compulsory year in the Egyptian army. However, the Egyptian Prime Minister, Ibrahim Mahlab, intervened in the matter, allowing Salah to focus on his soccer career.
His Whole Village Attended his Wedding
When Salah married his wife, Magi, back in 2013, he invited his fellow Nagrib villagers to attend the ceremony. Thousands of fans and villagers were reportedly present at the festivities.
Salah Runs a Charity Project
The Mohamed Salah Charity Foundation is dedicated to alleviating poverty in Nagrig, Egypt. This includes providing foodstuffs, and establishing hospitals and schools.
