2017 Emmy Nominations

The 2017 Emmy Award nominations were announced yesterday, and by the looks of things, it will be a tough fight for top spot in almost every category.

The nominees were announced yesterday evening by ‘Veep’ star, Anna Chlumsky and ‘Criminal Minds’ actor, Shemar Moore.

Leading the pack in this year’s awards are a bunch of new TV shows and mini-series, including the drama, ‘This Is Us’, sci-fi drama, ‘Westworld’, and mini-series, ‘Big Little Lies’.

‘Big Little Lies’, which stars Oscar winners, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon, resulted in quite a few acting nominations, too. The show was a breakout hit and was critically acclaimed worldwide.

Also in the mix is Netflix’s sci-fi drama, ‘Stranger Things’, which has become somewhat of a pop culture phenomenon over the past year.
