2017: Biggest Celeb Splits

As 2017 is winding down, let’s take a look back at some the biggest celebrity breakups of the year.

Amber Heard and Elon Musk

The blonde bombshell actress and the South African inventor called it quits in August after one year of dating.

According to insiders, the timing of the relationship wasn’t right for either of them. The pair issued a joint statement regarding the split, blaming their schedules and the long distance.

Anna Faris and Chris Pratt

This adorable couple announced in August that they were splitting up after eight years of marriage. After four months of legal separation, Pratt filed for divorce in December.

The couple said that they had tried hard to make it work, and will continue to be devoted parents to their son, Jack, who was born in 2012.

Fergie and Josh Duhamel

After eight years of marriage, the songstress and hollywood hunk announced that they were calling it quits.

The couple announced in September that they had separated months before, and didn’t give a reason for the split. They share a four-year old son together, named Axl.

Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs

The Twilight star and musician called off their engagement this year after being together for nearly three years.

While the pair did not make an official statement, reports emerged in October that the couple had called it quits. They made their last public appearance together at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd

In the biggest split of the year, the “Fetish” singer and Canadian hip-hop artist ended things in October after just ten months together. The pair blamed distance and clashing schedules, but both have since been seen with their exes.

The Weeknd also abruptly unfollowed Gomez and her family on Instagram, and deleted all of his posts featuring the songstress, last month.
